As a Director, Supply Chain IT, this role will be primarily
responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing projects
and initiatives to meet needs of Supply Chain/Logistics IT
Platforms. We are seeking a technically strong person who is eager
to manage a team. Ideally, you will have experience executing a
enterprise scale green-field application implementation. You will
have mentored and managed a team in the past, and you have passion
for technology. This is a dynamic, highly diverse team, and we are

management and guidance to the Supply Chain/Logistics Application
Team staff, focus on the implementation of new and enhanced
applications, high availability and quick resolution of the
services delivered. This position has responsibility for all
support aspects of 7-Eleven's Supply Chain/Logistics IT Function,
including integration with standard 3rd party applications,
warehouse management applications, corporate and retail
applications. Maintain, close liaison with various business
partners, vendors and product teams, and ensure ongoing service and
support can be maintained to defined service levels.This role is
100% onsite based in our Irving, Texas
headquarters.Responsibilities:
- Responsible for this portfolio's budget, projects, and
resources planning.
- Lead the development, delivery, and operations of technology
solutions to support the modernization of supply chain and
logistics capabilities.
- Lead the efforts to stay current on the logistics and supply
chain technology stack and platforms.
- Responsible for partnership and collaboration with various
cross-functional teams (Supply Chain/Logistics business teams,
product management teams, store operations, Merchandising teams,
and other IT Teams) to modernize supply chain platform.
- Provides technical oversight across systems and applications,
leverage skills across multiple apps.
- Provides a holistic view of the production environment for both
technology and business management, working closely as a trusted
partner for senior business heads.
- Consults with the primary stakeholders of the application in
conjunction with development managers in order to understand the
strategic objectives of users.
- Assess project risks and develop contingency plans.
- Identifies and obtains commitments from required resources.
Maintains team cohesiveness and holds resources accountable to
commitments.
- Requires awareness of audit and compliance related issues.
- Contributes to formulation of strategies for apps support and
other functional areas.
- Champion stability initiatives to enable application high
availability for Business-As-Usual which includes better
monitoring, failover and resiliency.
- Ability to handle incidents, problems and change at a global
enterprise level. Calm and analytical when faced with major
incidents on critical systems.
- Responsible for delivery of end results and shares
responsibility for budget management which directly impacts the
Supply chain Area; Accountable for resource planning.
- Exhibits sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy
skills to exchange complex information with inherent confidence
with operations and technology partners on a regional or global
basis.
- Focus on people development, evaluating subordinates'
performance and making decisions on pay increases, hiring,
terminations and other personnel actions.
- Mentor and coach leaders & individual contributors reporting to
this position and play an active role in raising the talent bar
across the technology team.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 15+ years of hands-on enterprise scale software application
development skills.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience with mentoring and some
experience people management.
- Proven experience in implementation and delivery of large
enterprise scale supply chain/logistics green-field applications
(Order Management, Demand Planning and Forecasting solutions,
Procure to Pay & Order To Cash solutions, Control Tower etc).
- Senior stakeholder management experience.
- Expert level understanding of Software Architecture, Database,
Network, Operating System, Hardware, and IT Security concepts is
required.
- Ability to interface with business areas and effectively
translate business needs into technology solutions.
- Ability to keep abreast of new technological and or/procedural
developments and demonstrate knowledge and expertise with software
tools and an ability to evaluate.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and conflict resolution.
- Strong leadership, planning and project management skills.
- Ability to manage large budgets with good financial
discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.If an hourly
