-About New Life Residential Treatment CenterMany of the girls
arrive at New Life after experiencing severe abuse or neglect.
These courageous young women are between the ages of 11-17, and
they begin to grow and heal through in-depth clinical therapy,
personal development activities and spiritual care in a safe
setting.Girls stay an average of six to eight months and begin to
feel a restored sense of hope in their futures - thanks to the
support of New Life's staff and therapists specializing in
Trauma-Informed Care. Often during the healing process, girls
discover special interests and talents and begin to live a healthy
lifestyle. Many girls are either reunited with biological family or
connected with a loving foster family after living at New Life.What
You'll DoThe Therapist is a member of the program's clinical team.
The Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy,
conducts assessments, and works in collaboration with
multidisciplinary treatment teams to develop treatment plans and
conduct utilization reviews. The Therapist is primarily responsible
for the therapeutic needs and continuum of the clinical care for
the youth in accordance with Agency policies and procedures,
licensing standards, and federal, state, and local regulatory

Standards for Child WelfareWork Standards -
- Complete a comprehensive psychological assessment to initiate
ongoing behavioral health counseling for youth; complete the
intake, admission, and assessment of new youth
- Complete assessments at the point of intake, throughout the
treatment process and at discharge to ensure youth's treatment
plans are meeting established goals and objectives
- Comply with HIPPA privacy regulations and always maintain
confidentiality
- Prepare for periodic treatment review meetings by completing
progress reports and updated treatment plans
- Regularly monitor the emotional, mental, and social well-being
of youth and provide or arrange for services as deemed
appropriate
- Coordinate and complete discharge or placement services
- Other duties and projects as assignedCommunication -
- Complete and update resident case files with treatment plans,
progress, behavior issues, and other related information regarding
the youth's behavior outcomes
- Coordinate, schedule, and facilitate individual, family and
group therapy sessions to address youth's emotional, mental, and
social well-being and as outlined in the treatment plan
- Update resident records/files with behavior issues, concerns,
incidents, and progress in a timely manner and in compliance with
Agency and licensing standards and federal and state regulatory

- Provide Clinical Director or Clinical Program Manager and other
members of the clinical team with resident progress and treatment
needs
- Provide emergency crisis intervention and participate in
on-call rotation as needed
- May be required to complete driving duties as driver and/or
accompanying during transport. Subject to being designated as an
authorized driver
- Work closely with Clinical Director, clinical staff, and
multidisciplinary teams to ensure program operations, policies, and
procedures are executed in a manner that meets the needs of the
youth and achieves program goals and objectivesWe Are Family - We

- Establish goals/treatment through a collaborative process with
the youth utilizing advanced counseling skills, including
evidence-based practices and screening (assessments); create and
update treatment plans, including youth treatment goals and
activity formulation
- Provide complex crisis intervention and stabilization to youth
who are in psychological distress
- Utilize positive youth management techniques, including verbal
re-direction, de-escalation and physical containment when handling
behavioral issues and crises with youth
- Build and maintain cooperative working relationships with the
Clinical Director/Lead Clinician, clinical staff, multidisciplinary
teams, community partners, service providers, management, and staff
to ensure the needs of the youth and program goals, objectives, and
services are being met at the highest quality, work within the
established ethical boundaries
- Work as team player and exhibit professional behavior and a
positive attitude with both internal and external clients that
reflects positively on the Agency and is consistent with Agency
policies and practices
- Actively participate in exhibiting cultural awareness and
sensitivity when interacting with children, parent(s)/guardian(s),
staff, and the communityQualificationsMinimum Requirement
- Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling,
Counseling, Psychology, or closely related field
- LCSW, LMFT, or LPC full Texas licensure -
- 1 years' relevant experience
- Must have valid TX driver license and auto insurance to be
designated as an authorized driver
- Ability to establish rapport, trust, and boundaries with
children, parents, and families
- Strong people and interpersonal skills with the ability to
interact with diverse groups of people
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to
write accurate and legible case notes without grammatical
errors
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of
professionalism consistent with the Counseling or Social Work Code
of Ethics
- The ability to apply compassion and empathy, while dealing with
stressful and difficult situations
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a
group
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the
ability to manage a heavy caseload and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and
OutlookPreferred Requirement
- 3 years' previous therapy/clinical experience with children
and/or adolescents
- Previous experience providing therapy in an RTC environment,
highly preferred
- TIC Training experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (based on service area and
